In 1998, Jacob launched Beckwith Contracting with the hands-on support of his wife Melanie. It was the culmination of his heartfelt and hard-fought dream to become an entrepreneur. With his roots in farming, and his initial determination to become a fully-qualified carpenter, Jacob’s drive and ever-evolving vision has pushed the company to success upon success. The results? The expansion of the company from carpentry to a full range of contracting services, dozens of delighted customers, and a strong and loyal work team mentored by Jacob himself.

What’s next on Jacob’s ever-evolving path to success? The launch of a new division of the company called BeHome, which caters to family members in the Kingston area who want to share their home space, expenses, and the stresses of daily living with family members.
